Terms of service
Last updated November 1, 2026
The short version
rowbook helps you keep farm records. Your records belong to you. rowbook gives information to help you decide, but you make the decisions, and the product label, your agrologist and your buyer come first. You must be 18 or older to create an account.
Who these terms are for
These terms cover the rowbook website (rowbook.ca) and the rowbook app (app.rowbook.ca). By creating an account or using the app, you agree to them. “We” and “us” means rowbook. “You” means the person using rowbook and, if you use it for a farm or business, that farm or business too.
Your account
- You must be 18 or older to create an account.
- Keep your password private. You’re responsible for what happens under your account.
- Give accurate details, and let us know at [email protected] if you think someone else has used your account.
Farm owners and crew
The farm owner decides who joins the farm, what role they have, and when they leave. If you add crew, a supervisor or an agrologist, you’re responsible for having their permission to enter their details, and for telling them how their information is used. You’re also responsible for following any employment rules that apply, including for workers under 18. Crew accounts belong to the farm that made them.
Your records
Your farm’s records belong to you. You give us permission to store, copy and display them only as needed to run rowbook for you. You can download them at any time from Account in the app. If you close your account, tell us and we’ll delete your records from the live system. Copies in backups are removed as those backups expire.
You’re responsible for what’s entered into rowbook, and for keeping any records the law or your certification program requires. Keep your own copy of anything you must not lose.
Advice and information in the app
rowbook shows information to support your decisions. This includes spray suggestions, re-entry and pre-harvest intervals, export residue limits, weather, pest and disease guides, and food safety forms. It comes from published sources and may be incomplete, out of date, or not suited to your farm.
- The label is the law. Always read and follow the current product label. Check that a product is registered for your crop and region, and check its rates and intervals, before you use it.
- Not professional advice. rowbook doesn’t replace a licensed agrologist, crop advisor or pesticide applicator.
- Export limits aren’t a residue test. Residue limits change. Check with your buyer or packer before you ship.
- No guarantee of certification. rowbook helps you keep records, but it doesn’t certify your farm or promise you’ll pass an audit. rowbook isn’t affiliated with CanadaGAP, Health Canada or any other program or agency named in the app.
Fair use
Please don’t try to get into another farm’s records or anyone else’s account, attack or overload the service, copy rowbook to build a competing product, or use it for anything illegal. We can pause or close an account that does, and we’ll tell you why unless the law or safety stops us.
Free trials and payment
New farms get a free trial, and some farms join with a code. Either way, you get the access and end date shown when you join, free of charge. rowbook is still growing, so features may change. We won’t charge you anything without your agreement. If we add paid plans, we’ll show the price, how renewal works and how to cancel before you subscribe.
Keeping the service running
We work to keep rowbook available and your records safe, but we can’t promise it will always be available or free of errors. The app is built to keep working without signal, but records saved on a device aren’t on our server until that device syncs. We may change or stop parts of rowbook. If we plan to shut rowbook down, we’ll give farm owners at least 60 days’ notice by email so they can download their records.
Limits on our responsibility
rowbook is provided “as is”. As far as the law allows, we don’t give any warranties that aren’t written in these terms, and we aren’t responsible for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost crops, rejected shipments, lost profits, failed audits or lost data. As far as the law allows, our total responsibility for any claim is limited to the greater of what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or $100 CAD. Nothing here takes away rights you have by law that can’t be given up.
Feedback
If you send us an idea or suggestion, we can use it to improve rowbook without owing you anything. We’ll never publish your records or name your farm without your permission.
Ending your use
You can stop using rowbook at any time. Download your records first, then email [email protected] to close your account.
Changes to these terms
If we change these terms, we’ll update this page and the date at the top. For important changes, we’ll tell farm owners by email before they take effect. If you keep using rowbook after that, you accept the new terms.
The law that applies
These terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia and the laws of Canada that apply there. Any dispute goes to the courts of British Columbia, unless the law where you live says otherwise.
